Michiel Delfos will become a member of Achmea’s Executive Board and Chief Risk Officer as of April 12, 2022. He fills the vacancy created by the recent retirement of Henk Timmer.  

Delfos started at Achmea in 2014 as Director of Non-Life Insurance. In October 2015, he became president of the Damage & Income division. Previously, Michiel held various management and board positions at Delta Lloyd and ABN AMRO Insurance. He studied International Economic Law at Leiden University.

The appointment of Michiel Delfos has been approved by the Dutch Central Bank and has received a positive recommendation from the Central Works Council. His appointment will be discussed in the General Meeting of Achmea on April 12, 2022.
